@DDT_PM@sndlazi This country genuinely needs a clean up. From political leaders, to bureaucrats, to front facing public servants.
New systems, strengthened institutions.
As committed yesterday, we have written to the Minister of Transport.
We call for full disclosure of government contracts awarded to Moriel Infrastructure Group.
A contract of that size certainly warrants full transparency @dramadelinquent. We will write to SANRAL.
Separate but related: Lawrence boasts that nothing can happen to him because he is wealthy. And thsn we discover that he has substantial state business. It is difficult not to conclude that his confidence comes from proximity to political power.
It also reinforces my concern about the resistance to opening the sex offenders register: which powerful names are they afraid we may find?
@TheMxolisi The @TheMxolisi - it’s called “doing your job” as a public representative and member of parliament. But it’s understandable, as South Africans we aren’t used to seeing that.

Yes, the tweet I quoted has his name.
The point I’m making, is that this time, the woman is thankfully alive.
Her name is not trending because she didn’t become a statistic.
But we know his name, and that’s the name that should trend.
