🎙️REPORTER: Bruno, emotions are obviously high after that defeat. What did you say to Diogo Dalot at full-time?

🗣️BRUNO: I went straight to Diogo after the whistle. I told him honestly, “Diogo, you were terrible tonight. That is not defending at Manchester United level.”

🎙️REPORTER: That sounds very harsh. Why did you say that to him?

🗣️BRUNO: Because we cannot keep making the same mistakes and pretending everything is fine. We were 2–0 up and somehow allowed Brighton to come back and eliminate us. As defenders, you have to take responsibility in those moments.

🎙️REPORTER: So you think Dalot was one of the main reasons United lost?

🗣️BRUNO: I’m not putting everything on him. We win together and lose together. But I told him exactly what I saw. Some of the defending tonight was nowhere near the level required to play for Manchester United.

🎙️REPORTER: What was his reaction?

🗣️BRUNO: He didn’t say much. I think he knew I was angry. But I’m not saying it to destroy him. I’m saying it because we have to demand more from each other.

🎙️REPORTER: Would you say Dalot needs to improve defensively?

🗣️BRUNO: Absolutely. At this club, being good going forward is not enough. You have to defend. You have to fight. You have to protect the result. Tonight, we didn’t do that.

🎙️REPORTER: Do you regret confronting him immediately after the match?

🗣️BRUNO: No. I’d rather tell my teammate the truth than smile in his face and complain about him behind his back.

🚨 OFFICIAL: Pro Ref confirm “an error of judgement” in Haaland’s goal — also informing Man United directly.

“Following the incident in the 60th minute of Sunday's Premier League fixture between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford, we can provide clarification regarding Erling Haaland’s awarded goal.

“The on-field decision was offside against Erling Haaland – that was checked by VAR and he was found to be in an onside position.

“In the same attack, it was established that Enzo Fernandez did not play the ball and therefore that makes any offside offence subjective, however, on this occasion, the VAR did not recognise the likely impact of his position and should have recommended an on-field review.

“Contact has been made with Manchester United this evening to acknowledge what we deem is an error of judgement. A review of the incident will take place.”
