@dom_lacroi49182 @GermanStrands I think it executed what it set out to do really well. Build variety didn’t really factor into that, but I don’t need tons of replay value to love it.

Imo, the story was fine, enough to keep me interested. Level design also fine, I think people were too critical of that.

Buildings are just reworks from Dark Souls 3 which were reworks of Bloodborne assets
Cliff is ripped almost entirely from Stormveil Castle, down the blades of grass

@aeretix_ My favorite mainline FF, even though I kinda wish it wasn’t part of the series.

Part of me has always wondered if the pressure of such a huge project led to Matsuno’s exit from SE.

Or I’m just desperate for reasons my favorite writer/director has been less active for years.
