Baru nemu trailer yang kelihatannya bakal jadi tontonan wajib buat penggemar historical epic.

Judulnya "The Uprising", mengangkat cerita tentang pemberontakan petani Inggris tahun 1381, ketika pajak makin berat, upah ditekan, dan sistem feodal terus mempertahankan ketimpangan.

Andrew Garfield sebagai main lead, memerankan petani buta huruf yang kehilangan keluarganya karena wabah, lalu ikut mendorong kemarahan rakyat menjadi gerakan kolektif menuju London.

Menariknya, film ini tampak membaca sejarah dari perspektif kelas bawah. Petani, buruh, pengrajin, dan warga kota ditempatkan sebagai aktor politik, bukan sekadar latar dalam konflik elite.

Sutradara Paul Greengrass sendiri dikenal punya kemampuan membuat konflik sosial, kekerasan, dan kekacauan politik, dan Garfield juga cocok memainkan karakter biasa yang tertekan dan jadi simbol perlawanan.

Semoga filmnya tetap memberi ruang pada gerakan kolektif dan nggak cuma berhenti membangun satu figur sebagai penyelamat.
