@StellaWeigel It certainly is 'work in progress' for all of us Stella. There is no 'there'. But as teachers we really have to be working on it all continuously, moment by moment throughout the day, in order to have anything to offer our pupils.
I have been using Healthhosts for over 20 years for everything to do with my https://t.co/3wUck3tZU4 website. They host, fix, and update and really offer a great service at a reasonable fee. If you'd like to find out more, use this link. https://t.co/wz0dPGT50y
Alexander students often say they often forget to inhibit and give their directions to help improve their co-ordination and poise. But when they've realised this it's actually when they've remembered and that's a good chance to do so now!

Posture habits develop over time and are so familiar we're not even aware of them. Yet these habits undermine us in our endeavours and can cause real pain and poor sense of wellbeing. The alexander Technique is a practical means of eliminating them. https://t.co/3wUck3tZU4
When we've had Alexander lessons, it's great knowing that we can actually do something to help ourselves with regards to our poise, co-ordination and use of ourselves, without recourse to specialists for treatment to symptoms such as back pain. WE can often avoid the cause!
A great thing about the Alexander Technique and having had lessons,...one is able to wake up in the morning and actually apply the principles from then on throughout the day. And by doing so we can help ourselves be more comfortable, energised and effective in everything we do.
The new Ollerod restaurant in Beaminster is really superb. Fabulous cuisine in a great 13c Priest House beside Prout Bridge of our lovely Georgian town. Can't wait to return.
"Lovely staff and such excellent food, so many flavours and brilliantly presented. Shame I was driving and couldn’t try the Black Cow espresso martini 🍸 we will definitely be back very soon can’t say enough good things" - Janee (Review)
Beaminster is looking great for Christmas, and everywhere is open for business, despite the recent upheaval. Thank you all, for making our town so attractive and fun to be in.

Another thing that often happens during an Alexander Technique lesson, is that the pupil's voice changes. Male or female makes no difference, the opening up of stature in a free expansive way, helps our voice be more resonant, free and with more volume.

"I feel taller", my last pupil commented on leaving the Alexander lesson. "And you look taller!" I replied. "But what's most important, is that you're using your musculature more efficiently....more as nature would have us, free of bad posture habits." That's what matters.
I'm so impressed by some people, despite being horrendously busy they still manage to make time to come for their Alexander Technique lesson. Clearly they have it on a high priority. And consequently they're making progress in changing their poise no matter what else is going on.
FM Alexander apparently said, it's worthwhile giving your directions before getting out of bed in the morning, otherwise it'll be 11.00am before you know it and you won't have even thought of them. Good tip.
Alexander Technique is not just about posture. It's about eliminating harmful muscular habits that interfere with the subtle efficient working of our whole body from top to toe so we become freer and more expansive, with lightness. We can feel and function quite differently....
Am I stiffening or am I free, am I shortening in stature, or am I going up, is there a sense of heaviness, or one of lightness? The Alexander Technique helps us make the transition from our old habitual state, to the more desirable, natural quality we enjoyed as children.
