What I learned from making a magazine is...

come up with a tight clear vision for an issue+for everybody's sake, don't keep expanding it (this wasn't supposed to be 160 pages lmfao)
Just getter done at the end, stop trying to chase perfection. ur gonna get sick of looking at the thing and it will start to feel horrible
Find a small printer u really trust, Spencer Printing out in PA goated (@TrueLaurels pmo)
it should be done + sent to the printer at least a MONTH before u wanna drop it.
Get a distributor (or some really good friends) if ur confident u will sell more than 500 mags.
Scrounge up cardboard, cut it into magazine sized strips, place mag inside cardboard sandwich, place in mailer. keeps each mag safe in transit

There's a certain level of DJing where what you're doing is basically jazz and with the technology we have it's theoretically easier to achieve that but the sense of rigidity and conformity that the tech brings makes people lose imagination and take less risks
