That Cornel West cannot get tenure at Harvard is as laughable as it is serious in terms of what it means to be a black scholar in primarily white institutions. And it points to the fact that black excellence can often not be excellent enough. I mean, West had to apply for tenure?

@delta forced us to get a visa host country says was not needed and didn’t tell us. Will cost $$$ and you won’t find out until you’re at airport ready to leave. Book foreign travel through @united @VirginAmerica @AmericanAir @TurkishAirlines @KLM @AmericanAir-Anywhere but @delta.

@Delta Brazil doesn’t care if onward ticket is booked with miles or money, only Delta computer system cares. Delta refuses to acknowledge they have required passengers to get a visa when the host country has explicitly said its not needed. Delta complying with rules they have made up!

@Delta The “requirements” were only required by Delta’s computer system. Brazil consulate said visa was not needed for a layover. Delta can’t make up rules about visas and then not inform passengers.

@Delta Delta still completely unresponsive. Visa only needed to satisfy their computer system and we were never informed. Brazil consulate said no visa was needed. Just switched from @united. May be switching back!
