The market finds every ounce of ego, impatience and greed you've got and charges you for it until you let it go. It's the most honest mirror you'll ever stand in front of.
The market reveals what your pride tries to hide every day. If you're willing to look honestly, every loss can strip away a belief that no longer serves you.
To "know thyself" and all our foibles is the sign of real courage, most prefer to project their weaknesses onto others and demonize them instead of facing oneself.
The Eclipse of the Century is coming — August 2, 2027 On Monday, August 2, 2027, Earth will witness the longest total solar eclipse of the entire 21st century. At its peak, lucky observers will experience 6 minutes and 23 seconds of complete daytime darkness — an extraordinarily long stretch of totality. The Moon’s shadow will sweep from the Atlantic across southern Spain and Gibraltar, then race through North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt) and into the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and parts of Somalia). The longest duration will occur near Luxor, Egypt, where the ancient temples and the Nile will be plunged into an otherworldly twilight. Why is this eclipse so special? The Moon will be near perigee (closest to Earth), appearing larger in the sky.
Earth will be near aphelion (farthest from the Sun), making the Sun appear slightly smaller.
Together, these factors allow the Moon to completely cover the Sun for longer than in almost any other eclipse this century.
During those precious minutes of totality, the Sun’s magnificent corona will blaze into view, bright stars and planets like Regulus (in Leo) may appear, and the temperature will drop noticeably. It’s a rare chance for scientists to study the Sun’s outer atmosphere — and for the rest of us to experience one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles.Millions are expected to travel to the path of totality. If you can, make plans now — the next eclipse of this length on land won’t happen until 2114.A reminder that the universe still knows how to put on a show.
EVER WONDER WHAT THE MOST VOLATILE PERIODS OF EACH TRADING DAY ARE, ON AVERAGE?
Me too.
I'm not gonna lie, I think this is one of the coolest things I've ever made here.
This chart shows you how volatile each rolling 30m period is over the course of an average 24 hour trading day. I even tested it out over high VIX and low VIX environments.
Did you think the first 30m of the day were the most volatile? That lunchtime was boring? Check it out.
Huge thanks to the guys over @massive_com for the data to run this. All times on this chart are Central.
When traders complain about overtrading, cutting winners early, or revenge trading, they assume it's a discipline issue. It's not.
It's usually a fundamental misunderstanding of what trading actually is—a probabilistic game where individual outcomes are meaningless noise.
Algorithms react to headline numbers. Retail reacts to algorithms. Liquidity rebuilds unevenly. Stop losses trigger in clusters. Understanding this choreography of who moves when and why is where edge exists.
We tend to think of boredom as something that happens to us. But it’s also a skill, the ability to endure what happens within us when nothing is happening outside. In this sense, boredom is less a lack of activity and more a confrontation with your own mental interior.
How does Chinese Medicine understand the nervous system?
When system feels safe, the extraordinary happens.
Breathing eases.
Digestion resumes.
Creativity returns.
In Chinese Medicine, they say that the Heart settles and our spirit can shine through while feeling safe.
Constant stimulation deprives us of mental reflection, which is crucial for memory integration, emotional processing, and creativity. To counter this, intentional downtime is essential.
