Activist: "Your cows are putting carbon into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "Where did they get it?"
Activist: "What?"
Farmer: "The carbon. Where did the cow get it before it put it anywhere."
Activist: "From... eating?"
Farmer: "From eating grass. And where did the grass get it."
Activist: "The soil?"
Farmer: "The air. The grass pulled it out of the air last spring. The cow ate the grass. The cow breathed some of it back out. It went back into the air it came from."
Activist: "But it's still going into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "It's going back. There's a difference between a thing going somewhere and a thing going back. You've described a circle and you're frightened of it."
Activist: "Then just don't have the cow."
Farmer: "The grass still dies in autumn. It rots where it falls. The carbon goes back into the air either way, just without anyone getting fed in the middle."
Activist: "It's not that simple."
Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."
When butter was demonised, Unilever sold margarine.
When tallow was demonised, Procter and Gamble sold Crisco.
When eggs were demonised, Kellogg's sold cereal.
When red meat was demonised, Cargill sold soy.
When raw milk was demonised, Nestle sold infant formula.
When leather was demonised, BASF sold PVC.
When wool was demonised, ExxonMobil sold polyester feedstock.
When animal fat was demonised, the seed-oil industry grew from a niche product to the most consumed food ingredient on earth.
Every demonisation of an animal product made a specific group of shareholders very rich.
Every one of those products had been eaten by humans for thousands of years without incident.
The science changed the moment a substitute existed to sell.
Follow the money. The advice will start to make a lot more sense.
Seed oils were made for war, not for your kitchen.
Liana Werner-Gray says the same oils once used to lubricate war machinery were later rebranded as heart healthy and pushed into the food supply.
“Seed oils were never created for human consumption… cottonseed and rapeseed were originally created for World War I and World War II for lubricants for machinery.”
“So when the wars ended, they were like, ‘Okay, how can we keep selling this? Oh, let's put it into the food.’”
“And that's when they told everyone, stop using butter and stop using beef tallow.”
“And so then Ancel Keys came along and worked with the government, and they created the food pyramid to reflect this.”
“And then canola oil was created in the 1970s in a lab. So God never created canola oil.”
“So if you see a canola oil that has a label non-GMO organic, it is fraudulent because you cannot put a label organic on something that was created in a lab.”

Glyphosate is sprayed on over 90% of America’s corn, soy, and wheat.
It’s ending up in cereals, bread, snacks, and our kids’ bodies. While other countries restrict it, America keeps feeding it to families.
Ban the poison. Restore real food.
