Palestinian figure Fathi Khazem, 60 years old, father of Ra’ad and Abdulrahman Khazem, was killed by Israeli forces during a raid on his home near the main roundabout in central Jenin, after refusing to be humiliated in front of his family. Israeli forces then withheld his body.

In footage from inside the house, traces of his blood remained on the floor, bearing witness to his final moments.

Fathi Khazem, a father who carried the immense grief of losing two of his sons and lived his final years burdened by that loss, joins them today as a martyr.

وردت تسمية سورة " الإسراء " بسورة " بني إسرائيل " في حديثين صحيحين موقوفين من كلام الصحابة رضوان الله عليهم :
الحديث الأول : عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال في بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَالْكَهْفُ وَمَرْيَمُ وَطه وَالْأَنْبِيَاءُ : ( هُنَّ مِنْ الْعِتَاقِ الْأُوَلِ ، وَهُنَّ مِنْ تِلَادِي )
رواه البخاري (4994)
قال الحافظ ابن حجر رحمه الله :
" ( مِنَ العِتَاقِ ) جمع عتيق وهو القديم ، أو هو كل ما بلغ الغاية في الجودة ، وبالثاني جزم جماعة في هذا الحديث .
وقوله : ( هُنَّ مِن تِلَادِي ) أي : مما حفظ قديما ، والتلاد قديم الملك ، وهو بخلاف الطارف ، ومراد ابن مسعود أنهن من أول ما تعلم من القرآن ، وأن لهن فضلا لما فيهن من القصص وأخبار الأنبياء والأمم " انتهى من " فتح الباري " (8/388)
الحديث الثاني : عن عائشة رضي اللّه عنها قالت : ( كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَقرَأَ بَنِي إِسرَائِيلَ وَالزُّمَر ) رواه الترمذي (3402) وقال : حديث حسن . وحسّنه الحافظ ابن حجر في "نتائج الأفكار" (3/65)، وصححه الألباني في " صحيح الترمذي " .
بل قال أهل العلم إن تسمية السورة بسورة " بني إسرائيل " كانت هي الأشهر في عهد الصحابة والتابعين ، وذلك لأن سورة الإسراء افتتحت في أول آية منها بالحديث عن الإسراء إلى المسجد الأقصى ، ثم في الآية الثانية مباشرة شرعت في ذكر مرحلة مهمة من مراحل قصة بني إسرائيل والإخبار عن إفسادهم في الأرض مما لم يذكر في سواها من قصص بني إسرائيل في القرآن الكريم ، وذلك في قوله تعالى : ( سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ . وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ هُدًى لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلَّا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِي وَكِيلًا . ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا . وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا ) الإسراء/1-3.
