Ngl, I really wished that Arc Sys would have done something with either Betsy, Kwannon, or both (individually(sandwich character, Ginyu, etc.. )). I figured that was Betsy (the hair color), but it kinda sucks that it's the usual, and that she's just in the background. Meh.

Seriously, go read this! The first arc does feel a bit slow, but once we get into levels of light, it's a blast. And yet, the issue all about Jo and her past and her ex-wife is one of my favorite recent comic issues. Messy and queer and heartfelt and just so very human.

I don't mind it, but it's one actual stumble (visually) is Alice's dead demon husband, Will.

Evil Dead Burn's visual direction is so good. I don't talk about the old film's much (I prefer the modern ones), but Raimi was making magic happen. This movie is the one that actually has shots approaching / rivaling his use of the camera. Not a shot at 2013 or Rise either.

Burn manages to reference and utilize some of the very techniques Raimi used, while managing to keep it organic and from feeling like a fanboyish trope utilized as a crutch. It feels proud of it's own camerawork, while wielding the franchise's, visual identifiers.
