You gotta be cognizant and careful about the whole BDSM possibilities in clinical work.
You shouldn’t simply select for submissive patients, who get off on their enjoyment of being dominated by you, and your delightful authority and confidence, about what is going on with them.
Another gripe of mine is when teachers attempt to "collude" with students to gain favor. Say, trying to teach early Freud and winking how silly it is so the students feel like they're in on the joke. Yuck
There's an epidemic of low expectations in psychology doctoral programs. Professors have such low expectations that any student will do the readings and reduce the importance and quality of tests as well, probably because they don't want to be seen as too mean. It's so strange.

@DBashIdeas Honestly, the main problem I have with this is that Jung is absolutely not the basis for psychology today. At best, he is viewed as someone with ideas that generally lack clinical utility, aside from the few Jungians. I get the speaker is inflating for effect but still annoying
They aspire way beyond the limit; They see that they are imprisoned in laws, in circumscribed conditions that do not allow [one] to expand beyond limit to unstoppable heights, and they fall into depression, into resignation, into anger... Their agitation knows no quiet.
"Souls of chaos (neshamot de-tohu).... are very great; they seek much of existence, that which their vessels cannot support. They seek a very great light; they cannot tolerate whatever is finite, defined and estimable..... Their infinite longing will not end....
The point of psychotherapy is not to get rid of negative emotion, but to make it so that you can have negative emotion. The point is not to get rid of the anxiety, but to be able to have the anxiety, and live well.
