Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine again—this time with dozens of attack drones and nine ballistic missiles. There was a missile strike on Kyiv. Sadly, there are killed people. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured. And almost every attack against our people now involves combined strikes using ballistic missiles. Since the beginning of this year alone, Russia has launched approximately 770 ballistic missiles and more than 50 Kinzhal missiles against Ukraine.

It is precisely because of such attacks that we pay special attention to Patriot systems—to be able to protect our cities from this horror. It is critical that partners who possess relevant capability implement what we have discussed in recent days. No country should be left alone in the face of such evil. We must continue our cooperation. Everything is doable. Our partners have the necessary systems and they can already help defend Ukraine.

In September 2022, the group of the 3rd SOF regiment received the task of taking control of the weapons arsenal in the city of Balaklia, Kharkiv region.

"For me, today is the anniversary of an important and undoubtedly successful operation that influenced the outcome of the Kharkiv campaign.
I took direct part “on the front rows” together with my comrades of the SOF group and our commander with the call sign Sheriff.

We were the first to enter the weapons arsenal. It was our group that took the fight near one of the two bridges during its mining. We were the ones who took the bodies of our fallen comrades after clearing the passage to them.

We captured enemies in the city and captured the russian Guard’s KamaZs. It was on these vehicles that the ammunition captured in the warehouse was taken out to the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which were going on the offensive, during the operation.

The history of this operation in a short story.
In September 2022, groups of the 3rd SOF regiment were tasked with taking control of the weapons arsenal in the city of Balaklia, Kharkiv region.

The task was successfully completed. Subsequently, the reserves of this arsenal were used for their intended purpose by various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroying the occupiers with their own ammunition.
Immediately after that, a new task was received - to destroy two automobile bridges, so that the enemy would not have the opportunity to return.

Two groups were sent to carry it out. The enemy met them with dense fire from small arms and RPGs. However, when a tank began to work on the operators, the group had to withdraw. During the withdrawal, the enemy hit one of the lightly armored vehicles, in which there was a tactical group consisting of: Yuri Mishchuk, Maksym Pastukhov, Vasyl Krykun, Dmytro Korolevskyi, Oleksandr Slobodian. All servicemen were killed.

The successful clearing of the arsenal in Balaklia became one of the important factors in the successful start of the Sloboda offensive operation. Within a few days, the regiment's units participated in the clearing and liberation of Balakliya, Izium and other settlements of the Kharkiv region.

Each loss is incredibly painful, but the SOF operators continue to liberate Ukraine from the enemy, defending their homeland, destroying the enemy on the battlefield. We remember every Hero who laid down his life, bringing closer the victory that will definitely be ours!
