ONE WEEK TO GO!

I am really excited for this update but also sad since this is the final update we will be getting. It’s been the most amazing time, from being a new light to completing raids & solo dungeons…

It’s been a journey & thank you to all of you for helping me through it all & answering my silly questions that I have because I don’t understand, or watching me die so much in my solo Grasp dungeon (it was hilarious though)
Teaching me mechanics in raids & me getting exotics on my first try (Sorryy)

Destiny 2 was supposed to get its last update on June 9.

BUT, the online uproar following the announcement got the Bungie wheel's turning. A case is being formed for some sort of Destiny project and our (amazing) response is the foundation of that case.

I'll put my reasons in the replies.

I thought I had more reasons.

I don't know man. Maybe I'm hallucinating from copium overdose but trying to think like someone within Bungie right now. I know I'd be seeing the community reaction as heartening but also as an opportunity too good to waste.
And the activity of the accounts, the obscure teasing, seems like part of them seeing the potential of our response and wanting to amplify that come June 9.

I'd rather hope like this than just accept the loss anyway.

A more upsetting reason to think about surrounding people's jobs.

If I were within a company such as Bungie knowing that my job may be on the line and I was in a position to do something about it. Highlighting a community response like this in a pitch to the decision makers makes a lot of sense to me to at least minimise the losses.

It's not useful to just be angry. It is useful to channel that anger into a passionate drive to save what you can of not just a franchise you love working on but jobs that pay people's bills and talent that is SO hard to come by.
