Fifty-seven years ago, Stonewall sparked a movement that changed our country forever. I was proud to celebrate that legacy at Pride today and will continue to honor it by standing up to injustice and defending LGBTQ+ New Yorkers' rights.
Today, we mark four years since Democrats passed the Safer Communities Act into law.
While this legislation was a tremendous step forward in the fight to protect our children and save lives, we will not rest until all future generations are free from the scourge of gun violence.
