Some personal news:
I am joining the one-year fellowship with the @CanadianPress starting next week. I feel extremely fortunate to be part of the team. I also miss the @TheRichmondNews family - I’ve learned a lot from my supportive and talented colleagues over the past 3 years.
@deansexton14 @CTVVancouver Hey Dean, I am a reporter from the Canadian Press. I wonder if there is any chance to get video from you and would you mind telling me whom should I credit this to?
@YyJdaniel @YVR@GlobalBC@CityofVancouver Hey Danny, I am a reporter from Canadian Press. Would you mind sharing your contact with me via DM? Thanks a lot!
@jesspess1995@NewsRadioVAN Hey Jessica, I am a reporter from the Canadian Press. I wonder if I can use your photo? If so, how should I credit you? Thanks!
"In 1997, I was a 29-year-old award-winning art critic and journalist when I was stricken by a violent and disabling onset of manic depression.
I managed to avoid the street for 26 years after my diagnosis. The idea of homelessness was terrifying. When I faced it in 2019, I thought of which warm states I could go to and live in my car, and I had visions of which bridge I would jump off.
How many other people are in this position, too ill and poor to afford affordable housing? And too poor to be homeless?"
