NEW ARTICLE: POMEGRANATE and CANCER - Recent Research on Punica granatum (Pomegranate) and Ellagic acid - 5 studies reviewed

Pomegranate is very rich in polyphenols and flavonoids that have anti-cancer properties.

Pomegranate fruit contains three parts:

1.seeds (3% fruit weight) containing about 20% oil,

2.juice (30% fruit weight)

3.peels (pericarp) that include interior network of membranes

Seeds lack polyphenols but have ellagic acid derivatives, triperpenoids and sterols - pomegranate seed oil (PSO) has anti-cancer properties

Pomegranate Peel Extract - is probably the richest source of cancer fighting polyphenols and contains ellagitannins

In vivo animal studies have been done on breast, colon, lung, liver, skin, bladder, prostate and ovarian cancers.

Anti-cancer effects in animal studies tend to be dramatic: reduced incidence of cancer, reduced tumor volume, size and weight

Mechanisms: ↑Apoptosis, ↓proliferation, ↓NF-κB, ↓VEGF, ↓MMP

There have been a dozen Human clinical trials in breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer. The results show mild or modest anti-cancer effects or mixed results

Ellagic acid (in peel and seeds) - antioxidant, induces apoptosis, cell cycle arrest, increases p53 expression

increasing p53 is crucial as COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Spike protein can damage p53 and lower p53 levels in patients with mRNA Induced Turbo Cancer.

I worked in a large Cancer Centre (Cross Cancer Institute, Edmonton, Alberta) and I have been involved in many life and death decisions.

Make no mistake, Dazelle was murdered in a premeditated manner via a decision that was made all the way up the bureaucratic ladder.

This was not a decision made by her treating doctor, Dr. Mark Benzimra (who was guaranteed protection by his bureaucratic bosses including the medical board).

In Canada, Lung Transplant patient Sheila Annette Lewis was murdered by Alberta’s top health officials: Alberta Health Services @AHS_Media Executives Dr.Verna Yiu and Dr.Francois Belanger, their lawyer Mark Jackson and four Alberta Judges - Justice Paul Belzil, Justice Frederica Schutz, Justice Michelle Crighton and Justice Dawn Pentelechuk.

“Lewis's lawyer said her client was informed in June 2021 that she had to be vaccinated in order to remain on the transplant list. Pejovic said that forced Lewis to make an agonizing decision. “

The top healthcare bureaucrat in Alberta at the time was AHS CEO Dr.Verna Yiu @DrYiu_Verna, pronouns she/her

AHS CEO Dr.Verna Yiu also implemented an illegal COVID-19 Vaccine mandate on all of Alberta’s 105,000 healthcare workers on Aug.31, 2021, causing thousands to leave medicine. Some doctors and nurses who were forced to take the jabs have died suddenly

Verna Yiu was rewarded for all her crimes against humanity by being appointed Vice President of @UAlberta on Jan.1, 2024, in one of the worst decisions ever made by the University.

These life and death decisions have nothing to do with medicine or science.

COVID-19 mRNA Vaccines are already causing Lung Transplant rejection in some cases (2022 paper by Alsunaid et al)

In Canada, and now in Australia, murder is legal.
But it has to be in the service of an ideology or narrative.

In these cases, these murders of unvaccinated patients are carried out deliberately, in a premeditated manner, in order to send a message that the penalty for non-compliance IN THE FUTURE, will be DEATH.

The objective of the murders is to send a message to the rest of the population: comply or die. And by getting Judges involved, they make it clear to us that they WILL get away with it. And do it to anyone.

This is one of many reasons why it is not possible to “move on” from COVID-19.

Not only has justice not been served, there has been a complete perversion and inversion of Justice.

Every bureaucrat who has murdered a vulnerable patient must be brought to justice one day or we cannot and will not have a livable society.

NEW ARTICLE: FASTING and CANCER - New Research on a potential Revolution in Cancer Treatment - What's best? Periodic fasting (3 days) vs Ketogenic Diet vs Caloric Restriction - 5 major papers reviewed!

This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT articles I've written!

FASTING & Cancer: article highlights:

You must Fast at least 48 hours to achieve meaningful effects in cancer and 72 hours gets much better outcomes than 48hr (in eliminating cancer cells and protecting your cells from chemo induced DNA damage)

Cancer patients who fasted up to 140 hours had NO serious side effects

If you can’t handle fasting, a Fasting Mimicking Diet (dietary regime 300 to 1100 kcal/day of broths, soups, juices, nut bars, herbal teas) could give similar results, usually given up to 5 consecutive days, every 3-4 weeks with chemo

Fasting is much more POTENT against cancer than short term ketogenic diet or calorie restriction diet (no ketone bodies, normal IGF1).

Fasting dramatically decreases IGF1 (insulin-like growth factor) which is KEY to protecting normal cells and simultaneously sensitizing cancer cells to chemo

Two hypotheses:

Differential stress resistance (DSR) - normal cells slow down proliferation, go into maintenance mode, protected from chemo, rad, or drug toxicity

Differential Stress Sensitization (DSS) - cancer cells ignore starvation signals, keep proliferating, accumulate ROS = DNA damage = cell death

During fasting, cancer cells forced to switch from using glucose to mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation which builds up free radicals and kills the cancer cell - particularly effective against aggressive and metastatic cancers!

Fasting and normal STEM CELLS:

- fasting protects intestine and maintains intestinal stem cells

- fasting protects hematopoietic stem cells (get better blood counts after chemo)

- fasting promotes regenerative effects in blood, liver, muscle and nervous system, stimulates the regeneration of healthy cells and tissue following tissue damage after chemo

Fasting and Cancer Stem Cells

- Cancer stem cells are responsible for tumor recurrence and metastasis

- fasting reduces Cancer Stem Cells by lowering glucose levels - delays or prevents metastasis

fasting alone will deplete Cancer stem cells and delay tumor growth but differentiated cancer cells have “starvation escape pathways” - must hit them with something else (chemo or bioactive compounds) to get better cancer-free survival and long term progression free survival (fasting alone apparently won’t do it).

Fasting and Gut Microbome

fasting directly impacts gut microbiome - decreases harmful gut bacteria, increases helpful gut bacteria and boosts immunity in cancer - this is an extremely important aspect often ignored (paging Dr.Hazan @SabinehazanMD)

Fasting and Human Trials

- cancer patients fasting up to 140hr safe, doesn’t result in long term weight loss or malnutrition (much better than calorie restriction which can cause long term problems like poor wound healing, immune suppression, weight loss, cachexia, etc)

(patients who can’t handle fasting can do fasting mimicking diet instead for similar benefits)

- need at least 48hr fast to see less DNA damage to your leukocytes post chemo

- maximum protective effects against chemo seen with 72hr fast before chemo and at least 24hr after chemo

- fasting can eliminate need for dexamethasone steroids during chemo to treat serious side effects - this is huge because steroids increase glucose which feeds the cancer

- 72hr fasting much more likely to get complete response to therapy (no cancer cells) than 48hr fasting.

- fasting and chemo - fasting reduces fatigue and weakness, reduces stomatitis (mouth ulcers), reduces gastrointestinal side effects, reduces low blood counts like grade 3/4 neutropenia after chemo, better scores for emotional, physical, social, cognitive functioning over time, improved Quality of Life

My Observation:

The 2018 Nencioni paper was published in Nature, so this is “big pharma approved”. Keep that in mind.

Big pharma insists that Fasting alone CAN reduce tumor growth and delay cancer spread BUT won’t give you increased overall survival or cancer free survival.

Not sure whether this is actually true or not, because they insist on combining fasting with chemo ($$$) to get survival benefits and it is clear that people who fast on chemo do MUCH better in every way possible, including long term survival.

However, what if you combined FASTING with bioactive compounds in anti-cancer foods or mushrooms INSTEAD?
