@Blakehascake007@St1ka Well done, that remains my favorite console. I was the only person I knew who had one, struggling to save up to import some of my fondest memories.
Mina The Hollower from @YachtClubGames looks delightful, really enjoyed the demo.
Dragon Quest XII looks great, although (and I know this sounds odd due to the pedigree) it gives me big Blue Dragon vibes.
And oof, those Steam Deck prices, eh?
@LeoRackTW Thanks, it was a fun little game. My biggest regret is that I assumed it'd be a really fast production, but still ended up taking me over two years. A good lesson learned, there really aren't any 'small' productions.
My second game, Never Stop Sneakin', was a valuable lesson on implementing all control schemes from the start. Dust:AET went from gamepad to mouse/KB to touch, and required tons of input/UI work each time. Game #3 has definitely benefited from that experience.
I still have this stack of junk mail and old bills where I've scribbled tons of mathematical equations from when I first started development on this game. Perhaps I'll scan those for a postmortem.
It seems every few months I'm revisiting the shape and color of my game's blades of grass. Silly, I know, but you do spend a lot of time running through grass. I don't know how many hundreds of hours I've spent on foliage for this thing
