Things I Want To See From NYR Lineup:

1. Pettersson with Fox. Play Fox next to someone who can move the puck efficiently. You’ll have long OZ shifts and get the best Fox you’ve ever gotten

2. Šmits cannot be paired with Schneider. If he’s not Top 4, he should be Top Pair in the AHL

3. Bjorkstrand to try left wing. Bjorkstrand can shoot the puck. Get him rushing down the side where his forehand is in the slot. Play him Laf and JT

4. Gabe next to Doro. Best passer next to best finisher. Play them a ton with Fox-a Pettersson and Mika in the middle. You’ll have insane possession metrics along with some high end finishing

5. Cuylle/Laba/Kartye is still a fun line that can’t really drive play but is stout defensively and will forecheck the hell out of the puck. Would love to see Laba play on puck more, his zone entries in preseason stood out but that didn’t translate to season
