@CHinchliffMP So let’s get this straight. Your main issue is housing affordability (who is a supply issue), and then you advocate for local councillors to block housing (who tend to be house owners and have vested interest in not allowing housing building to maintain their house prices)
@darrenpjones@AndyBurnhamGM @andy4makerfield I think that might be the point? The PM is the most unpopular in modern history, which divides the progressive vote and increases the Reform. Today’s count just proved that?!? The stretching is crazy
@lukejcr a group of unelected bureaucrat having a say on one of the most important systems of society: the monetary system. I understand the value of their independence, but who elected them? What legitimacy do they have? No one voted for 20% inflation during covid from QE by BoE...
@jcartlidgemp@KemiBadenoch This is why the normal folk hate politicians. If someone got it wrong whether is bad judgement or incompetence, we except them to put up their hands and apologize. Instead, we get a 'it's everyone's fault' message...
@SBarrettBar So we need to listen to our friends that jail residents in the country for two years for speaking against government policies. What a freedom bunch I must say
@PolitlcsGlobal@CNN why are the Kurds treated as a war football between great powers? First, the war against ISIS, where the US armed the Kurds to fight them, only to leave them to dry when turkey and syria attack them? Now with Iran. Disgraceful

@EssexPR False! latest figures of murders in London per 2025 was around 80. UAE, which has a similar population to London, has had 40 murder in the lastest records (2021) Divide 80 deaths divided by 365 days would equal 0.2 deaths per day in London while UAE has around 2
@NicholasGuyatt Proposed new rule all politicians should follow: whenever they propose a new war with distant realms, all of their eligible family members must fight in the immediate frontline. See? Any change in opinion now? Enough wars, why can’t we just be a Switzerland?
@tomhfh Controversial opinion: people who are in Dubai for the explicit reason of tax avoidance should at the very least charged financially for consular or defence services by HMRC
