It’s Christmas, but I start feeling like that isn’t right. Aren’t we missing a few months? What happened to Halloween? I look at the clock on the wall, and it has no hands. I’m dreaming. #dream

I find out I need brain surgery, and I’m terrified. I run away from the hospital and tour the library at Buckingham Palace. Suddenly I wake up in the hospital, realising that the surgery is over and Buckingham palace was a dream. #dream #withinadream

In an antique shop to get a small glass vial appraised. As I hold it up I notice cracks, spreading. It shatters in my hand. I apologise and clean up glass. #dream

I’m visiting a slaughterhouse and thinking about buying it. Everything looks good, but I’m given a sample of the meat and it’s disappointing. As I leave I have to hug the owner, he is slathered in oil. It seeps through his clothes and onto mine. #dream

Walking in an unfamiliar city at night, and I’m getting nervous. A large raven flies up to me and lands on my arm. I’m immediately comforted and find seeds in my pocket to feed him. #dream

A new beautiful apartment, but on the way out I realise the stairwell is in horrible condition, getting worse with every floor I descend. To get out I have to squeeze past a menacing gang of men with knives and snarling dogs. #dream

I'm working in a cafe when some customers come in to complain that the song "Freak on a Leash" by Korn is offensive to their pets. #dream

I'm assisting Stephen Fry in making a documentary about gemstones. We build a huge dam in the ocean to show deep veins of amethyst on the ocean floor. When we release the water again, the giant wave destroys homes by the shore. We should have seen this coming. #dream

Walking around town, multiple acquaintances stop me to tell me they are sorry to hear that my grandmother died. I say they are mistaken, my grandmother is alive, but start doubting myself when it keeps happening. I check my messages, nothing from my family. Strange. #dream

My childhood cat showed up out of the blue. I was surprised she was still alive, but figured she was just immortal. I petted her and told her I loved her, and she told me she loved me too. #dream

A huge accident. There are bodies everywhere, the scene is horrific. A woman next to me vomits at the sight. I try to look straight ahead. #dream

A duke is surprised when the young king rides to his castle unannounced. The king came from the battlefield nearby, abandoning his soldiers. He meets the duke's daughter and falls in love, but she refuses his proposal until he returns to battle and wins the war. #dream

I go for a job interview at a bottled water company called Innoxin. Waiting in the lobby, a beautiful woman dressed entirely in red sequins comes to meet me. I'm suddenly very afraid, she seems dangerous. I try to escape the building, but she catches and devours me. #dream

At a bookstore, I explain to a stranger why I haven't read the Twilight books. My reasoning is pretty much "they seem terrible", but I feel guilty for not having given them a chance. #dream

The nukes are coming. We joke and laugh about it, not knowing what else to do. Tina Fey does a bit where she holds a nuke and accidentally drops it. We wait, but in good spirits. #dream

A time travelling battle with a witch (again) to decide the fates of a group of people. She sets up accidents for them, I travel back further to prevent them, over and over. Eventually I realize this can't end, and just ask her to stop. She laughs and refuses. #dream

I have a baby, but realize I've misplaced her somewhere in a messy house. I search for her, panic and guilt rising, until I find another baby. It isn't mine, but I decide it will do, and give up on looking for the original. #dream

My friend punches me in the face, I suddenly realize she is a god. She towers over me, tongue darting in and out of her mouth like a snake's. I cower in front of her, feeling terrified and reverent. #dream

We're sitting around a table trying to decide what game to play. Nicola Sturgeon shows up and deals us cards. I guess it's been decided. #dream
