Ryan: “Mom! I have great news! Well,
it’s adult news... When the school bus drove past the liquor store (@southlyndale) there was big sign for a wine sale. So if you need some wine, you should go!”
My kid recreated our precinct’s polling location today using Magnatiles. Then, with his sister, they re-enacted the 2000 Bush/Gore election using LEGO mini figures and extremely small ballots. Hoping @algore fares better this time. #YoungDemocrats
Also, I note that Ryan has again saved a hospital bracelet to rewear as a fashion accessory.
@childrensmn Wonderful, in so many ways, but also 🔥🔥🔥 in the pre-K fashion world
Ryan was really curious about coconuts so we hit the grocery store, watched some online instructional videos and over the course of the day went from coconut to cookies! #SummerVacation#SlowFood#REALLYSlowFood
Norah distinguishes between “cell phones” (my iPhone) and “telephones” (wired landlines). The only “telephone” she knows is in the office at school.
Ryan: Is the telephone the one that looks like a banana with circles on the ends??
Me: Explaining the concept of compound words. “Norah, what are some more examples?”
N: “Shoelace, hometown, bookworm, doorbell...”
Me: “Ry can you think of one?”
R: “Dorito sandwich!!”
