Got my first bottle of CYPB and its my first time trying it too. I think it's a very mellow easy drinking bourbon. And you can't beat the price if you get it at retail. If you have the chance it's a buy every time in my opinion.
This Jack Daniels Heritage Barrel is like drinking candy. The toasted barrel shines through big time. Reminds me a lot of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked bourbon. I won't hesitate to grab another if I get a chance. Seems to have popped up everywhere in South Dakota lately.
Bondstone Heritage Reserve Quad Oak. Never heard of it until I was gifted a bottle by my sister that she bought in the Twin Cities. If you like a nice oaky smooth bourbon give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Mostly because the bottles she has given me in the past sucked.
I've always enjoyed the 3 annual ECBP releases. The B525 finally landed in South Dakota and I like it way better than the A125. The higher proof and extra age time was worth it. I wish they were still doing the 12 year age stated bottles.
@BourbonHooks Those were a steal! I still have one that was 18 years old. I bought a case of them in 2020 for $45 apiece. Now the regular 18 year is 3 times that much.
