A poignant moment at the beacon lighting in King's Lynn last week 🇬🇧
A great tradition that marks so many important moments in our nation - none more important than our commemoration of #veday80thanniversary
80 years ago we celebrated the end of the war, with many people holding street parties 🇬🇧
I hosted councillors and staff to mark #VEDay80, in recognition of what that generation did for us.
We might have switched to colour photos - but we can still share a meal together!
🇬🇧 Today marks 80 years since VE Day – a time to remember the bravery, sacrifice & unity that brought peace to Europe in 1945. Let’s honour the past, celebrate our freedom & thank those who gave so much. #VEDay80#LestWeForget#VictoryInEurope#ThankYou#VEDay2025
This week I joined many others at the funeral of a true gentleman, WtO Ray Parke Legion D’honneur
He flew 40 combat missions for the RAF in WW2.
I had the privilege of spending time with at our Battle of Britain commemorations last September.
RIP, sir
I recently hosted @usairforce from RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall for the anniversary of the 8th Airforce's arrival

Humbled to meet the many brilliant volunteers at the @NNUH at their Christmas lunch and help give out long-service awards
Special mention to the married founders of Hospital radio still gracing the airwaves after 50 years!
With over 485 total years of combined service, 50 amazing volunteers at NNUH were honoured for their dedication, including two with 50 years of service. Special thanks to Stuart Dark and Tom Spink for presenting the awards.
Honoured to greet the Princess Royal at her recent tour of the @TheQuadram in Norwich.

A magnificent, historic, Tudor building now dressed for the season and Santa’s arrival.
Feeling very Christmassy! 🎄
Yesterday my family and I were privileged to join families from East Anglia’s USAF bases at Ely Cathedral to celebrate ‘Thanksgiving’ - connecting them to this important national holiday
We owe so much to those based in the UK as our close Allies, defending our shared values
Last week I attended the East Anglian Maritime Awards at the Norfolk Broads Yacht Club
They are brilliantly supporting the local maritime industry and those out on the water.
Here with the Hustanton’s lifeboat crew - including Hovercraft pilot and award winner Charlie Parfitt
At the weekend I dropped in to the Cromer community Shed for a welcoming warm tea and natter.
I listened to the wonderful work these volunteers are doing to support people in their local community and learnt of their plans to expand over the coming months
I was honoured to present long-service awards and give the closing address at the @Norfolkfire awards at Carrow Road.
The dedication of all recipients to keeping us safe, was both humbling and heart-warming
