Route 44 in Norfolk near Laurel Way continues to be closed due to an accident earlier today. Detours are in place and Eversource has given us an estimate of 4:00 p.m. for the road to be reopened. Both the elementary and high school have been notified of this disruption.

Some untreated areas are icy out there especially driveways and sidewalks.

Snow is coming down fast in Norfolk at 8p. Roads are covered and our hardy town crew and plows will be out thru midnight then back at 6 a.m. to finish cleaning up. Best advice is to stay home but if you're out, especially after midnight, you could have issues driving.

Due to timing of the snow, both Northwestern Regional 7 and Botelle Elementary Schools are closed today. Snow amounts haven't changed, still looking at 2-4 inches for the Icebox today. Enjoy the extra long holiday break kids!

Due to ongoing road conditions, bitter cold temperatures & a lack of road salt, Botelle Elementary School will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday February 18th. Northwestern Regional 7 High School is already closed for winter break.

Our local road crew will be out overnight after the changeover to freezing rain if/when that occurs. Road conditions for Sunday morning are expected to bad or even worse than they are now.
