In the distance is the 15th century Erpingham Gate, into the cathedral precinct and the west front of Norwich Cathedral.

An Iron Age hoard found in 2020 by a metal detector user. The hoard is comprised of four pieces of horse equipment. There are a pair of lyre-shaped bridle burrs, a harness ring and a likely binding strip.

Take a look at this Roman figurine found near Kettlestone last year by a metal detector user, recorded by our team. Made from copper alloy, it depicts a goat. Associated with the god Mercury, they are often found in 'votive' contexts such as from shrines or water. #FindsFriday
