We will take on a leading role in monitoring the supply of plastic and other litter from inland waterways & ports. We will be using our camera & GPS technology, among other things.

The CirCleaner in #Rotterdam is now officially in operation! On July 12, Alderman Chantal Zeegers officially opened our CirCleaner and the Keilehaven Tidal Park. The CirCleaner in Keilehaven is our first waste collection system, and it is now owned by the @rotterdam.

We had a fruitful discussion and insightful visit to Lemvig, Denmark, for the @EU_Commission-funded Research project TREASURE by @NorthSeaRegion. The project aims to combat marine pollution by preventing the outflow of plastic waste from inland water into the North Sea.

Visit our new CanalCleaner on #Koningsdag near central Station #Amsterdam.

Blocking one of the only seven exit routes for plastic flux to leave the city of Amsterdam. Thus, during the demonstration phase, Cancleaner will block this litter entirely from polluting the North Sea.

Using YOLOv8, the group was able to achieve the following results with the Object Detection model:
🎯 Precision of 88% 
🔍 Recall 87% 
📊 mAP50 of 93%

As part of the collaboration with TU Delft | AI and Noria, students upgraded the Plastic Litter Identification solution.🗑

🤖 Using AI (Artificial intelligence), the Model is trained to identify the 10 most commonly found plastic litter in the water.
