@jewinthecity Jews aren't "mad at Hashem" cuz of history. It's simply irrelevant to most Jews in the modern world. For many it's a box to check.

@KassyDillon Nothing to do w/Israel. It's been a long standing custom all over the world. Look at pics/portraits of European military men. Most have mustaches. The Amish are pacifists & were persecuted by the (highly mustachioed) German army. This is why Amish men never have mustaches.

@SEichenstein @NYPDnews As a very Non-NY Jew I always thought & heard how powerful NY Jews are (Antisemites claiming to much power) but time after time it seems the powerful Jewish machine is just a paper tiger. Sad really. I think it's cuz too many different groups fight each other instead of unifying.

@mysteriouskat My Rabbi/Dr of history explains while the tsars hated us he went after EVERY minority. He wanted Russia to be a uniform people. He was trying to turn EVERY minority into Russian Orthodox loyal patriotic Russians. Im not ok calling it Antisemitism when he did the same to Non-Jews.

@mysteriouskat Don't totally agree. Often we call it Antisemitism w/o looking at the big picture. A YT vid popped up a movie "Inquisition" the 1s burned at the stake were Protestants. I'm not sure I'd call in 300yrs ago very religious Europe not wanting ANY non-catholics around "Antisemitism"
