@golgoonza@denverbitcoin@solmamakwa@grok Because Grok spewed some bullshit at you:
It's referring to the fact that this incident occured between a train parked in a siding and another passing them on the mainline in the opposite direction. In the industry we refer to that as a 'meet'.
@criticofthecath@mrrickjunior@Clint_Davey1 I mean, maybe? But if you honestly truly think any final decision in the Star Wars sequel trilogy was made by any individual person, and not a whole committee of out of touch suits, you might be in error.
@mrrickjunior@Clint_Davey1 In my heart of hearts I believe this was the original intention, and when everybody correctly predicted it (because it was, shockingly, an interestingly foreshadowed plot point), they hastily pivoted to be subversive or whatever
@SalobreMon47 You could tape shows on a VHS. If you or your folks still have those it's a total trip, all the advertisements and everything from the late 90s and early 2000s perfectly preserved.
@Aguirre115622@TheCinesthetic You'll find that most genuine artists don't waste their time decrying obvious garbage as garbage, because they know they're preaching to the choir on the matter.
@Labradude3 Went back and rewatched the series in anticipation of S5 and man, I'd forgotten how many impactful scenes S2 had of just. Characters sitting down and talking, without excessive music or goofy over dramatic sound effects. S3-S5 would never.
