Jonah Martens of Thurso has surged to the top of the goalscorers’ leaderboard with 23 goals, after an impressive run of 9 goals in his last 7 games as the season nears its conclusion.
Martens and Thurso have just one game remaining, a home clash against Alness on Saturday, 11th April, meaning the pressure is firmly on Taylor to make his games count.
In the other semi-final, Invergordon edged past Alness with a 2–1 victory in a tightly contested match. Alness’ unbeaten league run this year came to an end, while the league champions continued their excellent season by securing a spot in the final.
Semi-Finals
There was no fairytale repeat for Halkirk this time, as they fell to a narrow 3–2 defeat against an in-form Fort William side. After a recent run of strong performances, Fort William showed their quality and determination to book their place in the final.
Inverness Thistle wrapped up their league campaign with a 4–2 defeat away to Thurso, who boosted their push for a 4th-place finish with an impressive result. Despite the loss, it’s been a strong first season back for the Jags, with plenty of positives to take into next year.
