We have 5 animals, 22 adults and 118 children heading to @YorkshireWP for an amazing day out and to visit the rhino, meerkat, giraffe, red panda and polar bear that Santa kindly adopted for us last Christmas.

We’re very proud of our drama club who put on a wonderful production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ last night. Huge thanks go to Sara from @PQAYork for bringing out the best in our little performers. They showed so much promise and confidence and looked adorable in their costumes.

Our @The_RHS #GrowWithIt planter is doing so well and the cornflowers which have just bloomed are attracting bees. The children have loved caring for this small space which is having a big impact. @BumblebeeTrust

Your child may have mentioned that our @OPAL_CIC Muddy Cafe has been out of bounds for a few days because ‘Ducky’ decided to make her nest behind the kitchen units. We’re pleased to report that she is doing well over the holidays and has laid seven eggs! #outdoorlearning

We did it! Our school has achieved a @BumblebeeTrust Bumblee-Friendly Bronze Award. The science council will continue working on #conservation as we now set our sights for the next level. 🐝

There’s never a dull moment during @OPAL_CIC lunchtimes. The children have particularly loved dressing up in our outdoor theatre this week and we’ve seen some great loose parts in action across the site, everything from theme park rides to rocket launchers! #PlanForPlay
