Even mild cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection are at risk of becoming long covid, and these results suggest the threat increases with multiple infections. (1/3)

New from Canada:
Canadian adults testing positive or suspected COVID-19 by June 2023 is 64%, 45% one infection, 14% two, 5% three or more. Likely underestimated

So, yes, many Jews are very sensitive to perceived danger and may tend to see signs of antisemitism even where this isn't the case *because that's what intergenerational trauma does to people*.
That's not criticism. It's acknowledgement of the effect of centuries of persecution.
First, the obvious reason that there is and always has been very real antisemitism all around the world, and this is only getting worse. (And when you see this happening, stand against it!)
Our new study examines #COVID19 infections (including reinfections), long-term symptoms and their impact on the Canadian adult population more than three years since the beginning of the pandemic. To learn more: https://t.co/RHYHSegeJu.
StatCan just dropped a bombshell report on #LongCovid . By 3+ infections, 38% report long term symptoms — that’s 1 in every 2.6 people. 🤯
Right now 1 in every 9 Canadians have #LongCovid. 80% have symptoms for longer than 6 months; 50% never recovered.

"In the next decade, the number of people who have #LongCovid could approach the number who currently have heart disease".
Many of them will eventually be diagnosed with #MECFS.
No approved treatment. No cure. No chance.

We realized early on that the @remissionbiome protocol needed clinicians (GPs, specialists, NDs, and in some jurisdictions pharmacists) to make it work and make it safe. As much as we are #Renegade we need to follow practices of harm reduction and sick people need doctors! 1/n
In the early 2000s, it was perfectly valid to believe all of the following:
* 9/11 was a heinous act of terrorism
* The US needed to act
* Al Qaeda had to be eliminated
* The George W. Bush administration was absolutely the wrong leadership for it
* Civilians should be protected
To idly stand by and observe active genocide and unfettered violence happen in front of our eyes across countless new streams and remain ignorant of the facts surrounding the deep historical tension between Israel and Palestine is inexcusable with the luxuries we are afforded. 3/
Thrilled to announce that the first of our #LongCOVID papers from our collaboration with the incredible @VirusesImmunity has been published in @Nature today. This work is incredibly important as it highlights clear objective differences in the blood 1/ https://t.co/YvWqff1GHS
I am humbled to announce that thanks to a generous grant from @cohengive our #LongCOVID center (opening early 2024) will work to understand the differences and similarities between LC and #Lyme, #MECFS and other infection-associated chronic illnesses. 1/

We now need to demand MORE access to novavax vaccine! For me in Connecticut I have to go 30 miles to currently get it and I cannot afford to do that. This is WRONG! It should be available at ALL major pharmacies like @Walgreens and or @CVSpharmacy! @novavax
I only just now saw this fantastic story Brian Vastag wrote about the WASF3 finding for ME/CFS. It started from the doggedness of one patient. https://t.co/tQ3ZVr8BrH
