Our From House To Home furniture distribution weekends will be awesome community events! We’re helping hundreds of LA fire survivor families to refurnish their homes AND bringing holiday cheer to our community🎄🎅❤️🕎🙏. @TraciParkforLA will join us at @AmericanLegion Post 283 on Saturday 12/6. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a classic car. They’ll be taking photos and passing out new toys (donated by the Molly Steinsapir Foundation) to all the kids. We’ll have a hot chocolate bar with all the fixings 😋. Our favorite local newspaper, @thepalipost, will be there 📸. We’re serving: 1) LA fire survivors who ordered furniture on our website (via grants or at cost) and are picking it up - along with new holiday decor that we’re gifting to our grant recipients; 2) anyone impacted by the LA fires to gather with community, receive items from the American Legion’s donation center, and enjoy the holiday festivities; and 3) American Legion service members 🇺🇸. We’re expecting a large turnout! We’ll be at @Habitat_org SGV in downtown LA the following weekend, focusing on the Eaton fire community 🙌. Our From House to Home initiative with Housing on Merit is in full swing! We’ve received over 300 grant applications and provided $50k in grants to qualified applicants so far. The Molly Steinsapir Foundation newsletter contains all the links that you need to get involved. There’s a role for everyone to play! https://t.co/qFOx3GSYfA We welcome volunteers to sign up to lend a hand during our distribution days at the American Legion in Culver City or Habitat For Humanity SGV’s distribution center in downtown LA. Check out our Target and Amazon community wishlists and consider sending in an item or two as you do your Black Friday and Cyber Monday online shopping. You can also donate an ornament or other decor from your own collection. Finally, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to The Molly Steinsapir Foundation which will enable us to provide more free furniture to LA fire survivors who are struggling to get back on their feet.
