Jay feels that one land before anything else, the quiet, cutting truth in her voice. Not loud, not explosive… just final. And somehow that hits harder than if she’d screamed.

Hailey sighed softly as she shook her head and turned to face him. “You hurt me in the worst way possible and this is the first time I’ve seen you since you left me. I hope that you will.”
She rolled her eyes at his comment before placing her hands on her hips. “I’m gonna have

“But if we’re gonna stand in the same room again after all this…” he adds, quieter, more vulnerable than he probably realizes, “I’d rather we say the things we didn’t say before.~
Jay sighed, furrowing his brow. Looking at her he nodded slowly. “Yeah. I know and you deserve them. I have every intention of giving you all the answers I can.”
“But I can’t do that If you’re drunk. This isn’t how I want us to be, Hailey. Let’s figure this out like adults.”
“Cause I have so many questions to ask and I just want answers. Yeah it will be.” Hailey nodded her head as she shifted her bag on her shoulder.
“Yeah. Why not?”
“jesse and i obviously enjoy each other and enjoy each others company and playing that angry resentful that comes where that relationship was left was challenging in moments because. adore jesse so i needed to ignore him in scenes bc im still mad at u”

“this might be our chance to actually talk face to face after everything that has happened. Just one drink before we go back to our lives.” She shook her head with a soft sigh.
“I want a strong one.”
“It’s not that I don’t want to. But, after what happened I don’t deserve even one drink. But if you want a drink. Then okay. One drink……” he sighed.
“It’s on me though.”
Hailey shook her head as she headed out the door. “Don’t believe me then, it’s completely up to you. Just one drink.” She said, nodding her head slightly in agreement.
