The cadets enjoyed the last parade night of 2023 with a boogie at the Christmas disco. There was lots of dancing and singing all evening. However, education is needed on the birdie song 😂

Tuesday evening we were delighted to have our Christmas Carol Service at Duke Street Evangelical Church and we were honoured to have the Mayor and Mayoress of Northampton join us. I

t was a lovely evening to bring the cadets, their families and supporters of the unit together for some Christmas Carol singing and presentations.
Well done to all the cadets who took part by doing the readings.

A fantastic evening last night at Clare Street Barracks for Petty Officer Cadet Horne’s investiture as the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for Northamptonshire. This is one of the greatest honours a cadet can achieve.

Congratulations on this achievement, have a brilliant year.

On Friday evening we held our Annual General Meeting and Cadet Prize Giving. We were honoured to have The Vice Lord Lieutenant, Morcea Walker MBE, the Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Stephen Hibbert and Mayoress Liz Cox join us for this important evening.

Everything we have achieved this year has only been made possible with the hard work and commitment from our amazing team of volunteers, so thank you to our brilliant team.

Cadet 1st Class Baucutt achieved a Bronze Medal in the 4.8m windsurfing class which is fantastic at his first National Competition. Team Eastern also came away 3 Golds and a 5th place across windsurfing, winning the overall trophy for the windsurfing too!

Our Open girls also had some really close races and after 2 second places and a first place they achieved joint second place, silver medals.

Well done to everyone involved today from Eastern Area, great results overall.

What an amazing day at the National Combined Regatta. Our Junior girls rowed their hearts out against some tough competition achieving 2 third places and a first place finishing just outside the medals. This was an amazing achievement for a young team.
