The spring 2025 Citizens Police Academy class has been in full swing for the past 4 weeks, and it's been off the charts! Our citizens are getting a behind-the-scenes look at how our officers work tirelessly to keep us safe. It's been a great month filled with teamwork, learning, and a whole lot of action. π₯
Big thanks to all our participants for locking in their commitment and showing they are ready to serve alongside us. Here's to the next few weeks of training and building bridges, one patrol at a time!
πSuper Bowl Sunday is almost here! π
Before you kick off the festivities, make sure you pass on the temptation to drive under the influence!
If you plan to celebrate, make sure you have a "designated driver" in your team lineup. Whether you're throwing a touchdown party or cheering from the couch, don't let alcohol be the penalty that ruins your night.
πΊπ«
Plan ahead:
Draft a sober driver β No need to "fumble" your safety!
Use a "personal quarterback" to take you home safely.
Keep the drive to win strong β stay safe, stay sober, and donβt let a DUI be your game-over. π―π
Donβt let a mistake on the field turn into a penalty in real life. Stay safe, and letβs make this Super Bowl one for the record books β for all the right reasons! π

THANK YOU!! π
We are so grateful for the generosity of our community during this yearβs Marine Toys for Tots Foundation campaign!! This year was our biggest haul yet, with well over 2000 gifts! π
The kindness and support from the community will help bring joy to many children this holiday season! We truly appreciate your contributions and commitment to making a difference!
We want to remind residents to, "Lock It or Lose It". π
Our officers will be spreading the word by sharing these flyers with residents as a friendly reminder to lock your vehicles. Vehicle burglaries and thefts usually occur between the overnight hours and early morning.
Share this information with your neighbors and friends. If residents secure their property and take basic crime prevention steps, it will have a tremendous effect on reducing crime in the area.

Found Cat πΎ
This sweet girl was found in the area of Dundee Road & Waukegan Road. She unfortunately has no collar or chip. If you recognize her or have any owner information, contact the Northbrook Police Department at 847-564-2060.
Due to the influx of snow the Village is receiving, we are asking that if you are involved in a minor crash and both vehicles are in a drivable state, with only minor damage, please exchange driver's information and drive to the police station to complete a crash report. If you wish to make a report at a later time due to the inclement weather, you have up to 10 days to complete the crash report.
The Northbrook Police Department is located at 1401 Landwehr Road, Northbrook, IL 60062.

Friendly Reminder π
We want to provide a safe location for people to meet up to exchange items that they sold or purchased online.
The front parking lot/lobby of the Northbrook Police Department, located at 1401 Landwehr Road, is a "Safe Internet Purchase Exchange Location". The entrance to the front parking lot/lobby is the southwest driveway off of Walters Avenue.
This allows buyers/sellers a safe location to make these exchanges without having to provide their home address or meeting at a unfamiliar location. The front lobby/parking lot is monitored 24/7 with cameras to make sure you feel safe while you complete your sales transaction!
