If you already own copies of each issue, you can still purchase one to be included in a care package.
Just select "local pickup" at checkout, and leave a note saying "sponsored issue for uplifting Black youth"
Let's make it happen, team. https://t.co/7N5cghrZXz
CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS: @makingchangesc is facilitating care packages for Black youth in our community, and we are collecting poetry and letters of support for their "Uplift Black Youth" initiative.
From now until the end of June:
100% of proceeds from issues 1-4 and Adam Lawlor's chapbook "So Bright, So Bright, So Bright" and 50% of proceeds from issues 5-7 will be donated to @MakingChangeSC.
We want to highlight an incredible organization run here in our community called @MakingChangeSC. Recently, they have launched a black-owned business directory on their website. If you or anyone you know would like to be added to the list, head on over to https://t.co/J5ElgFcX3e
Today's playlist comes to you from @hellohops, "Live Jams", and is a mighty fine mix of songs you just can't take for granted anymore. https://t.co/xxJCKmWyYz
Today’s playlist comes to you from our designer, @kerijk! A perfect mix of tunes to accompany you on your daily little, socially distanced stroll. https://t.co/b1bjYJ0ATx
This week we have a comforting mix from @veronica.noelle. Her sweet baby Gwen was born early this year, and this is a collection of songs she’s been singing to her in quarantine. https://t.co/CDpunfiIer
More playlists + other goodies coming your way soon...but today we want to share Sharon Old's poem "The Cast" in celebration of the end of National Poetry Month.
This week we've got a playlist from @madamlawlor. "Songs for Right Here Right Now" is a collection of tunes to think to read to clean to dance to cry to laugh to share. A mix for all us indoor kids. https://t.co/cNAen7BUIm
The world needs poetry right now. We'll be sharing some of our favourite words on our feeds over the next little while. We love you all. We're here, and we'll continue to be.
