@WeCops Cheshire was totally doing right by the Specials. Ultimately I changed my day job into a role where I couldn’t keep the hours up. So better to bow out responsibly. Very bitter sweet but the right decision for me and the constabulary. #wecops 3/3

@WeCops I was IP, did PSU2 and Cheshire was introducing taser, blue light and had just started the first IPP course for specials. They were also looking at Specials being part of teaching courses for other Specials. I loved PSU2, loved the atmosphere and camaraderie with a serial.

@copwellbeing People are generally polite and respectful on LinkedIn because they represent both themselves and their organisation. Basically they’re a lot more measured because if their employer see something they don’t like then they could face real life consequences.

@Peston @themjcouk The real issue is central government reducing the Revenue Service Grant to zero. From 2016-2020 that’s meant a total drop in LA budgets of 40%. LA’s still have to deliver statutory (legally non-optional!!) services. Squares into circles 🤷🏻‍♂️

@JJSharpers Had a great discussion a few weeks ago on what ‘police officer’ means as a job role/description these days. Colleague was perfectly succinct with ‘I’m a crisis manager and it makes up 90% of my time with the public.’ Perfect description.
