@wablakeney@jamesaknight Yes, he was on three legs… because he lifted his own leg up and put it there! Whilst no-one is to blame, this type of incident is part + parcel of racing. You cannot absolve each + every horse for misdemeanours in the stalls that are self-inflicted. 🤯
@timfisher1952@nickluck With respect, this was by far the biggest story to come out of Derby day and having backed Christmas Day at 25/1 (and lost £125 of my winnings) I can tell you it definitely had a bearing on the winner! 🤬
@OneMan_______@jamesaknight The point is how horses behave in stalls is part of racing. This was not a unique incident nor was it isolated, horses play up in the stalls all the time and often start slowly because of it. The rule was not brought in for this… it’s like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut! 🤯
@MalcolGate@RacingTV@nevisondave This is patently not true. The vast majority of online firms did not waive the Rule 4, they chose to enforce it as is their right. So the vast majority of punters who backed the winner (or placed horses) lost 25% of their expected winnings which is very unfair.
@Cr1111199899@pbox_12@kevinbridges86 You can’t tell s**t. In fact. you can barely write a sentence. Anyone who backs a player at 100/1 when they could have got 400/1 needs help. 🤫
@maroonajambo His country has won a World Cup. Your country has never made it out of the group stages… if you’re asking him to sit this one out, you better take a chair aswell! 😏
@Luke_Elvy He’s been ridiculed for playing s**t golf, not because he signed for LIV. Everyone knew LIV wouldn’t last, no-one knew Cam Smith would forget how to swing a golf club! 🙄
@RowleyfileRRR@HonestFrank I definitely agree with some of the other posts on here re: Japan. They have been mixing it with the best and the 9/2 @ PP + Skybet for them to reach the QF is a cracking bet!
@RowleyfileRRR@HonestFrank I’ll save you some time… there is not a cat in hell’s chance Morocco will win the World Cup. They’re not a bad shout to reach the QF, but that’s about the limit of their capabilities. Longshots do not win the World Cup…. Euros yes, World Cup not a chance.
@DarranPearce I think the point is the overwhelming majority of people who take a keen interest ARE saying the rule is wrong. If any horse plays up in the stalls and gets a slow start that's part of racing and should be treated as such.
@10Flounders@BlackClawEmb@RHughesracing People are moaning because the horse disadvantaged itself by playing up in the stalls - that's racing - and should never have been deemed a NR. Rule 4s were not brought in for petty nonsense like this. If you don't get it, more fool you. 🙄
@10Flounders@BlackClawEmb@RHughesracing Definitely not a win-win. There's nothing worse as a punter than backing a winner then seeing a chunk of your return disappear due to a poor intervention from the stewards. The horse inconvenienced itself which is tough luck on those who backed it but should not result in a R4.
@PaulDev26409655@JimDelahunt This was not a mistake by the stalls handlers, the horse was disadvantaged because of his own actions. How they behave in the stalls is part + parcel of racing. Not in a million years was this worthy of a Rule 4. It's a woeful decision by the stewards. 🤯
@Slugs70776079@JohnnyDineen Nonsense! 🤯 Punters who backed the fav and had their stakes returned were basically handed a 'Get out of fail free' card, but anyone with an ounce of common-sense knows that incident was caused solely by the horse itself and should never have resulted in a Rule 4 deduction.
@chivs1O5@AtTheRaces Firstly, I'm not an England fan. Secondly, it's actually 60yrs since they won the WC. Thirdly, if a team is 3rd favourite to win the tournament and ranked 4th in the world by FIFA then they are comparatively speaking "one of the big boys." Scotland on the other hand... 🙄
