The last time I saw these kiddos in class was in 5th grade at the HAY just before the pandemic started. They have blossomed! So glad to have them in class again!

The idea that arts education is a "frill" seems short-sighted, even if one believes that education is mostly for gaining marketable skills. Arts education can enhance the problem-solving and critical thinking skills that are increasingly essential in an information-based economy.

@tonyprinciotti Just as Bach's music was the culmination of the Baroque, I'd have to say, in my opinion, Mozart was the culmination of the classical style. Beethoven's early works seem as if he was trying hard to conform but he was different, destined for a different path.
