One of the greatest injustices is that white collar crime goes largely unpunished, or only lightly punished. Steal £100 and go to jail. Defraud £100,000 and get community service.

Arguably, jailing white collar criminals would have a much greater deterrent effect

The press were too busy with ‘Norton exclusives’ to look at the growing rumours surrounding the non arrival of ordered customer bikes and rumours of customer bikes being stripped for parts. But they did get to ride the new V4, so it’s all good really! 🤔

Being repeatedly endorsed by Govt is a green light for pension investment and a green light for placing orders for non existent motorcycles. Due diligence was noticeable by its complete absence. The mainstream motorcycle press blowing smoke up Garners arse didn’t help either.

Listening to the @guardian podcasts about Stuart Garner and the £10 million Norton pension scam is shocking on many levels….not getting a custodial sentence is one instance. The inability of both Govt and financial regulators to see the reality is another. #pensionscam

@JosephineCumbo Stuart Garner wasn’t sole director, Simon Skinner was also Director disqualified for 5 years for stripping owners motorcycles for their production line. There were lots of other things as well as pensions scam at Norton.

@Henry59lewis I completely agree, moreso the fact this has happened time and time again with pensions liberation scams not just Norton and they’re playing the public on the grounds to learn lessons they already know. Any attention is good attention but I’m mindful of games being played

@diomyx1 All reported to @leicspolice at the time including a police commissioner complaint. Theft would be to difficult to prove. They decided it wasn’t in the public interest and the pension fraud would trump all other crimes 🤷🏼‍♂️

@ASPerformanceUK @NortonV4SS @JohnatSuperBike I'd believe it more and wish them well if they hadn't retained Skinner. No idea if he was involved in the pension fraud (he probably was) but he was 100% responsible for bikes in for service being stripped of parts to make "new" bikes. Both a pair of criminals either way.
