@rosiesplaques One of the main reasons we chose to produce @NorwichStatues was to showcase the city's fantastic women, so its great to see more of them being given profile like this!
A great opportunity to learn more about Amelia Opie! We chose to feature her as she was/is such an accomplished, interesting and important Norwich woman and we felt the city didn’t know her well enough. Happy upcoming 250th!
It's only one week to Amelia Opie at 250. Four short talks by scholars from around the UK in the Tom Paine Study Centre at UEA on Wed 22 May 6.15-7.45pm to celebrate 250 years since Opie's birth in her own city. Free and open to the public. All welcome. Please RT!
☔ Despite the weather, a pleasure to tour @NorwichStatues today with a delegation of visiting Chevening fellows! We heard from Nelson, Julian, Peace, and looked at my favourite window 💕
New and hopefully more robust plaques are now in place for some of our Talking Statues- just in time for the @NNFest ! We are super excited to get out and about on the trail with Festival visitors- and our school groups with whom we will be out and about next week! @NNFBridge
