On a recce visit to #Marsham Church for installing 15 nesting opportunities for #Swifts#NRSwifts we spotted a lovely #BlackRedstart flitting around the roof & tower.
A good sign, don't you think? π
@Norwichbirder Yes a bit of refining the section sizes should resolve the viewing issues on a mobile device, without affecting the appearance on the desktop. π€
When you start with a template of another website layout you realise you should have started from scratch π
Since the clearing of old-growth forests, Chimney Swifts have taken to manmade roosts, instead of hollowed trees and caves. However, 1000+ Chimney Swifts have been found roosting in @UNC's most famous tree. Read more from @AudubonNC: https://t.co/7hJ6UR3E9T (π₯: Dylan Thiessen)

Breathtaking views of this Pacific Swift found by @RogerRiddington at Virkie, Shetland today. At times it hawked low over the ground only a few metres away from us. Less than 15 British records of this Asiatic species, but the third consecutive year since 2022 that Pacific Swift has been recorded here in Shetland, with all three records falling between 19 June and 15 July. Surely the same returning individual...π€
