The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame is saddened by the passing of Rick Adelman, one of a handful of NBA coaches to record more than 1,000 wins.

The 2021 Hall enshrinee took Portland to two NBA Finals and won more than 50 games 11 times, and is remembered as a coach who blended a keen grasp of basketball strategy with an innate ability to connect with his players.
