Michael Jordan has released a statement on the passing of Stacey King.
A Bulls champion, legendary voice, and beloved figure in Chicago sports, Stacey’s impact went far beyond the game. Long live the King. ❤️🏀

Neil Funk remembers Stacey King: "He just loved life. It was amazing to me, we'd run into people on the street or in an arena and he made every one of those people feel like they were the only person in the building.
"They're not going to make another Stacey King."
Stacey King a few weeks ago on announcing:
“It’s a fun job, it never seems like work for me. Every night I go to work, win, lose or draw, I’m having fun… one thing I’ve always tried was if you couldn’t come to a Bulls game, you’re entertained on TV.”
This is a message I think everyone needs for their life.
Stacey King treated me with so much warmth and kindness when having me on his podcast over the years. He was just the best guy. Absolutely gutted to hear about his passing. Can’t imagine watching Bulls games without him.
Stacey was one of a kind because his passion was authentic and his ability to connect with so many was genuine. His knowledge of the game sometimes got overshadowed by his catch phrases. But man, he knew ball. He welcomed me to broadcast side and made me better RIP to an original
