My book, ”Not Afraid to Fall,” chronicles my 47-year-long journey with Parkinson’s disease and how I found balance and self-acceptance through these challenges.

April is Parkinson's Awareness Month + World Parkinson's Day is coming up too. If you happen to know of anyone, a business, or institution that could benefit from hearing my story, please let me know. I would love to speak with them!

Today, I had a breakthrough in my training on the bike. It has been a long training season preparing for the MWARBH race. August 19, bring it on. I am feeling ready! @giantbicyclesusa
It looks as though my training rides over the last few weeks have plateaued. I am hoping that this proves to be a good sign, and will help to propel me forward in my quest to being the first non-abled body athlete to win the MWARBH race. @giantbicyclesusa
I am finding it very hard to believe that the MWARBH is only 31 days away. My training will continue for the next few weeks, but then I will take some to off to rest and recover for the race. I am excited for the opportunity to be on Mount Washington, and see some old friends.
A steamy & windy bike ride today. Another 12.5 miler in the books. Not my best time, but in the passable category. The MWARBH is coming on fast and I have no time to waste...
The "Thrive" article on me is now up and available to read... Thank you Katie Dukatz, and everyone at Thrive. What a special treat it was to work together on this...

I am very proud to announce "Thrive," an online magazine focused on highlighting positive stories as they relate to Parkinson's disease, have chosen me and my PD story for this upcoming July's issue. Wow, what an honor!!!
Stay tuned for more details.
In less than 75 days, the 50th Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb will be held. The event is at capacity this year with 667 riders.
Also, my big announcement is, the powers to be at the hill climb have offered me the title position of, "Grand Marshall" this year!
Last years MWARBH race was such an incredible day and experience, I can't wait to see what this years race has in store for me... A sub - 60 minute finish perhaps? Wouldn't that be something!
Another training ride in the books, and already I see and feel improvements. A big, "Thank you" to John Gromek for the help with the chamois cream. It worked like a charm John!
I believe holding on to hope is everything. If we stay open to hope, it can bring a better tomorrow by helping us to live with the pain of PD today.
On this World Parkinson's Day, this is my wish for all of us afflicted with PD. Remain hopeful!
#WorldParkinsonsDay@ParkinsonsUK
Today is the first day of Parkinson's Awareness Month. A diagnosis like PD can feel like a cruel joke that life is playing on you. "April fools!" However, this disease is no joke!
Stay Strong!
I am gearing up for Parkinson's Awareness Month in April. World Parkinson's Day is on 04/11/23. My plan is to send out positive vibes and messages of hope all month long to our global Parkinson's community.
