The series "I Know This Much Is True" is painful to watch at times. But Mark Ruffalo plays brothers and dramatizes how the mental illness of one affects both of them. I felt his empathy and love in his portrayal of both men.
For many of us, we are physically alone. Connect in any way that you can. Text, call, Facetime. There is always someone a phone call away if you need help. 1-800-273-8255. You really are NOT ALONE.
@claudia_boles Middle school is perfect. There are 2 versions of the film. The 30 minute cut might be better for the younger kids. Both are fine. Do you have a copy to watch? You can see the long version on Netflix.
@KamalaHarris@katelyn_ohashi@uclagymnastics She exudes such joy. Her smile is real. She is holding the audience in her hands. This is what a performance is all about. And she is an amazing athlete!
"The positive message is that all these teens survived and found their way to a better place by opening up and telling a friend, a parent, a counselor, and became stronger by sharing their stories with each other."
We must push for Climate Action Policy. It has worked in California. But we still have a long way to go. Let's set the bar high...for our children...for the future.
Unless governments put forceful new policy measures in place to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, the surge in renewables and decline of coal won't save us from the worst effects of climate change. https://t.co/lVNgC1p0Sk
@Mrsbowmanocsa @hotroddanny1 Exactly. Every child starts out with endless possibilities. Given the tools and support they will grow and thrive. It goes beyond the school. Each child needs a safe home, a parent or parents who have jobs and are healthy. Let's spend our money with wrap around family services.
@ProjectBuddy Listen to teens if you want to know what teens feel. Watch "Not Alone" on Netflix. Learn from these teens, who have lived experience with mental illness and suicide.
@NAMICharlotte Watch 'Not Alone' on Netflix and you will gain insight into what teens who die by suicide feel. You can save lives if you understand and take action.
However broken you may feel, you are not alone. Just open up. If you can't tell a trusted friend or family member, text 741-741, or if you want to hear someone's voice call 800-273-8255. It shows strength, not weakness to ask for help. Someone is always there. Wanting to help.
Soon there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, but a new bootcamp, @OceanHeroesHQ, is hoping to *ahem* turn the tide on plastic pollution. https://t.co/qQcSyGPcJ7
@InezNYC Let's work together to bring https://t.co/2bFXXTwJkb to your schools. Community screenings, classroom screenings with curriculum and trained school staff are the perfect storm to aid youth with mental illness and prevent suicide.
