@AbhorrentRoach@whooith Yes, there is an epistemological problem. One ultimately has to guess the intentions of others. And I’m suggesting you might be guess the intentions of new groups based on the intentions of previous groups. But the problem is that there is no continuity.
@AbhorrentRoach@whooith I do think you’re avoiding the question. You don’t want to allow the possibility your experience with some people has colored future experiences. But as a member of a species who often pattern seeks and generalizes, you might benefit from allowing it.
@AbhorrentRoach@whooith Again, how do you rule out this was just a difference in treatment styles considering there was no continuity between the people who you interacted with when you were passing and the people from before?
@AbhorrentRoach@whooith I assume the people you felt treated you differently aren’t the same people as before, correct? How do you know these people don’t just have different styles of treatment that you’re treating as some sort of interpersonal continuity?
