@brentonhcooper It’s an initiative by FIFA to try avoid those types of challenges. Same way the NFL a couple years back went out of proportion with hits on the QB. It’s a bad call but it’s something all these players are aware of

@TheMetsX 100%, also think it’s important to note that every pitcher from the WBC has seen their fair share of struggles. Skenes has an ERA above 3 rn. Getting ramped up so much earlier coming off his first MLB season might’ve not been the move for him. He’ll be more than fine

That’s just who he is, he’s never going to be a .280-.300 hitter and was never touted as that. I would too very much like him to change his approach based on situations but he’s also still only 24.

@MetsMuse Get Francisco Alvarez off of this list now. Playing a good defensive catcher at 24 years old, and having to deal with all the new rule changes (bigger bases, pitch clocks, throw overs). He’s also a top 10 catcher offensively. You’re not really improving at Catcher moving from him
