Been seeing a lot of negativity online about the future of art, and animation in particular, and while those fears aren't unfounded at all, I just wanted to share my thoughts on the whole thing. I plan to keep making stuff for as long as I live, and I'm going to enjoy every bit of it. Even as the world seems to turn away from genuine creativity, I know at least I'm having fun doing it, so why should I stop?
Money is important, though I've always considered being able to make money off of my art to be a privilege that I never wanna take for granted. If I gotta do something else to make a living, so be it, but I'm never gonna put the pen down. I really don't care.
That being said, I'm very grateful to have had a few art gigs come my way, which is a luxury that not many are offered right now. So I'm just going to keep taking them and drawing in hopes that there continues to be a market for it somewhere. And I think there is. If the doom posting is a sign of anything, it's that there's a lot of people out there who are unhappy with the way things are in the entertainment space, and not willing to mindlessly consume the slop being put out there. And that gives me hope :)
It's inspired by Ghost Rider! And- by "inspired" I mean
It was that originally, but I couldn't draw a skull I thought fit, so the skull was scrapped lol... also-
It kinda looks like a random character, but shshhhsh
